- Spurious signals produced in a receiver - usually a product of mixed intermediate frequencies within the radio.
bleed over- Interference caused by a station operating on an adjacent channel - A false or spurious signal in a receiver inadvertently produced by the receiver’s circuitry.

CROMWELL — Scott Verplank and Bubba Watson became the latest players to take aim at the course record of 61 on Sunday. Verplank, who is one of several players to tie the course record in years past, missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole by about an inch and settled for a 62.
